The surrounding area offers soothing natural sites and meaningful places to pause: Karuna’s old stone church tells of the region’s long history and provides a space for quiet reflection, while Piruntätimäki is an ancient place of worship. From the nearby Maalu observation tower, you can take the Pirunpellonpolku trail to Paratiisimäki, which offers stunning views of the sea. Similarly, the summit of Ekniemi is well worth a visit, and the slightly more distant Teijo National Park invites you to explore its varied landscapes of forests, lakes, and coastline. The coastal villages and harbors of Kemiö are also nearby.
