This is a perfect place to stay when you do not want fully equipped household, but want to have cozy vacation place to stay with all the needed things working in sustainable manner ; to be on your own in a quite place in the middle of nature. River Koitajoki is just nearby to swim, fish, paddle, etc. Cottages are eco-friendly, as sun energy, wood and gas are used as energy sources. Here you can enjoy a tech break and back-to-nature adventure.

It is so great to have you here in our home village to enjoy the quietness, river Koitajoki and nature surroundings as we have the honor to do and as our family and neighbors hundreds of years before us. We really want you to enjoy your stay in our cottage and nearby nature, and that all works well. That is the best reward to us. We are also there to support and answer any questions before and during your stay! What we enjoy to do in our free time is fishing, canoeing and just walking in the forest and listening the silence and picking berries and mushrooms.

The cottage is located in the beautiful country side, next to small local village called Huhus and next to woods and waters. The closest shops and restaurants are 35km away in Ilomantsi center. Especially in the summer time there are many kinds of events and lot see in the Ilomantsi area, and you need a car to really enjoy this. The cottage is suitable for family, groups and persons who appreciate nature, silence, outdoor activities and/or no many other people around. Outdoor activities available include swimming in nature waters (Koitajoki, Koitere), canoeing, rowing, waking in the forest, picking berries, hiking, and fishing. You should also not expect fully electrical equipped housing; there is sun energy for lighting, small TV, and to charge small devices. There is no shower/bathroom, but you can enjoy sauna and swimming and outdoors toilet. Cold fresh water is available, and you can heat and boil water in stove and in water heating system when using sauna. Neighborhood is very safe.
