Peaceful and spacious villa by Lake Inari. Nellim is small Sami village with only 150 inhabitants, located in wilderness. Nellim offers you beautiful nature, where you can experience for example glowing aurora borealis in the winter and midnight sun during summer time. For example bridge of Paatsjoki, border of Russia, Tsasouna; handcrafted church are worth of seeing in Nellim. At Inari, Siida- museum you can explore more of Saami culture and skicenter Saariselkä is located in 90km from Nellim. For winter activities it’s possible to visit reindeer farm, or experience services like husky- and snowmobilesafaries, icefishing, skiing and snowshoeing. Year-round area offers great possibilities for fishing and hiking. Wilderness Reserve of Vätsäri is located 10km from Nellim. Villa can be reached by car. Nearest restaurant is 1km from cabin. Stores and other daily services are located in Ivalo village 40km from Nellim.

I am Jarmo, an Inari Sámi from Nellim. I lived in this house throughout my childhood until the age of 20. We bought my parents’ former home in 2016, after which we renovated it to meet modern standards. In the future, we plan to move here permanently once we retire from working life. My great-great-grandfather founded the village of Nellim long ago, and this is still a very important part of our family history. The house is located in this area.
