Set by Lake Kilpisjärvi off the E8 motorway, this resort is within 4.3 mi of the Swedish and Norwegian borders. It offers cottages and apartments with private saunas, full kitchens and free Wi-Fi. A sofa, TV and dishwasher are standard at Tundrea Holiday Resort. Cottages also include balconies and fireplaces. In-room breakfasts can be ordered on site. The cozy log cabin restaurant and bar serves drinks and Lapland specialties such as reindeer and arctic char. Social evenings are sometimes arranged in the traditional kota hut. A lakeside sauna is available on site. Arctic fishing trips, snowmobile safaris and whale watching tours can be arranged. Hiking, skiing and hunting are also popular in the surrounding area.
