The Art of the Sauna Our sauna offers a true piece of Finnish heritage. Following age-old traditions, there is no running water in the sauna building. Water is easily carried from the main house and heated by the wood-burning stove. The gentle steam (löyly), the crackle of the fire, and the surrounding silence provide a level of relaxation that modern hotels simply cannot match. Please note: This property offers an authentic off-grid experience. There is no shower in the main building. Washing facilities are located in a separate wood-heated sauna, where water is carried from the main house. This is a traditional Finnish way of bathing and is part of the unique charm of the stay.
