Welcome to our home! We are Noora & Sebastian. Noora is born and raised in Levi area and Sebastian is originally from Chile. We met while working on an expedition cruise ship in Antarctica and have both spent years guiding and hosting guests in remote Polar regions. We started our own company Polar Tranquil as we wanted to offer alternative to mass tourism. To help people to experience Finnish Lapland in a more slower and personal way.
Our Polar Tranquil cabins are on our private family land in Leppäniemi, around 20km from Levi centre and 36km from Kittilä airport. The cabins are next to our home and Noora's grandfather's house, on land that has been in the family for generations. This is a place for guests who want to slow down, unplug and enjoy the forest, river landscape and quiet of Finnish Lapland. Leppäniemi is a peaceful rural area outside Levi, away from the busy centre and light pollution.
We offer three ways to stay with us: 1. Self guided stay - for guests who want complete independence. You book the cabin and enjoy the surroundings at your own pace. A car is recommended for self-guided stays. 2. Supported stays - includes airport transfers from Kittilä airport and a pre-arranged meal plan. We stock the cabin with agreed ingredients before your arrival, so you can simply arrive, unplug and prepare your own meals whenever you like. 3. Fully hosted stays - for guests who want us to take care of the details. This includes airport transfers, all meals provided and hosted by us, one hosted experience per day (examples: a day in our forest with snowshoes or skis with a lunch by fire, northern lights evening with a dinner by fire).
