The tourist farm Lomakivi was born on a farm that the current 13th generation has been cultivating for 30 years. During that time, a complex of several red log houses has been built in the yard. The setting is peasant-like because the farm's main building and the farm's history have given the place a distinctive atmosphere. Nature is close by, even though we are in a residential area. Many of our guests return again and again to the family business of Lomakivi. Families with children enjoy the courtyard of Lomakivi, where they can encounter horses and ponies. The yard has space for playing ball games, and nearby there is a safe swimming beach for children. It is a public beach of the Iitti municipality. With children, you can hike shorter trails in the forest and sit by the campfire. Lomakivi is a short distance from a grocery store. The accommodation buildings have well-equipped kitchens for cooking meals for families with children. In the accommodation rooms, children sleep long because outside noises do not carry inside. The room can be darkened, and in the houses' living rooms, there are temperature coolers necessary in the summer. Each house has a sauna, which can be heated according to your own schedule.

The people of Lomakivi enjoy good food, which is made with years of experience. The food is prepared according to tradition so that it is recognizable in both texture and taste. The household has partly North Karelian roots; Karelian pies and spoon breads have been made in the house for a long time. And partly Savonian roots, whose food traditions included smoking and curing fish. Upon coming to breakfast, guests can taste bread made by the host, well-cooked porridge, and a rustic atmosphere in the bright room.

Lomakivi is located in Iitti, where nature is close. Near Lomakivi, there are peaceful nature trails in varied terrain. You can hike and cycle there. Nearby, for golf enthusiasts, there is Iitti Golf; for motor racing enthusiasts, Kymi Ring; for gardeners, Mustila Arboretum; and for boaters and paddlers, Finland's longest log floating canal, Kimola Canal, which leads to Päijänne. Around Hiidenvuori and the Lomakivi area, there is a 9 km long nature trail that is open year-round. Along it, there are several campfire and boat launching spots. In Iitti and the surrounding area, various competitions and training weekends for dog hobbyists are held. In summer, guests visit dance pavilions and summer theater performances in nearby municipalities. Large event venues include the Tykkimäki amusement park and the Kouvola race track. Every year, the KymiGP horse races are held there, attracting trotters from Sweden and France.
