We offer a private quality Scandinavian style apartment with air conditioning and many amenities. Various family activities right next to our beautiful garden. Welcome to stay at our small family permaculture farm while you are travelling in Southern Finland! The farm is located in Sastamala, a 10-minute walk from scenic Karkku village and the train station and easily accessible by car. Main attractions of the region - Tampere, Ellivuori, Ritajärvi nature park, Lakeside Golf and Sastamala - are all easily reachable from our farm.
We greatly enjoy offering our extra apartment for travellers, since we need it ourselves only occasionally. You can stay at your own peace or come and meet us on the other side of the property, whatever suits you best :) We are a family of five living at the farm, so we can assist the guests during their stay when they have needs. Usually at least one of us adults is working from home. The permaculture garden is our special hobby and you are free to roam around.
The neighborhood is very peaceful and scenic with its curvy road, rolling fields, small houses and old forests. Walking and strolling paths go through the nearby forests. The public football field right next door is rarely used, so we can keep it almost like an extra playground. No place is perfect: The main road (249) is nearby so we hear some traffic sounds during daytime. For those traveling by bicycle or train, the farm is just 1 km from Karkku station and village center where you find beautiful parks, a food store with serviced, library and the local restaurant.
