You will have exclusive use of the entire private lakeside property, including approximately 300 m² of indoor space and a 130 m² terrace. There are no other guests or rental cottages on the property. Palvia is located on a peaceful and beautiful lakeshore surrounded by permanent residents and holiday homes, making it unsuitable for loud outdoor parties or late-night celebrations. The person who made the reservation undertakes to ensure that all members of the group comply with the instructions. In addition to the main house, the property includes three cabins, a luxury safari tent, a lakeside sauna, a traditional smoke sauna, a storage/woodshed, an outdoor toilet, a Finnish kota (grill hut), and a large covered barbecue area. During your stay you will have access to four indoor bathrooms with showers, two boats, two SUP boards, indoor and outdoor games, firewood, and Wi-Fi. All buildings except the safari tent are available year-round. During the summer season, a Mosquito Magnet system helps keep mosquitoes to a minimum. Enjoy a wide range of complimentary self-guided activities, including fishing, berry and mushroom picking, swimming, boating, stand-up paddleboarding, cross-country skiing, ice swimming, and outdoor games. A marked nature trail begins directly from the property. Bed linen and towels can be rented on-site or you may bring your own. Final cleaning is included in the accommodation price. The large traditional smoke sauna can be reserved separately and is heated by the host, weather permitting. Dogs are welcome with prior approval. Palvia does not provide its own catering services. Breakfast and meal catering are available through our local partner Kievari Rantapirtti. They also offer a wide range of experiences and activities at their nearby location, including canoeing, husky safaris, snowmobile and ATV safaris, rally driving experiences, disc golf, and ice karting.

A marked nature trail, berry and mushroom forests, and fishing opportunities start directly from the yard. Although the place is located in the countryside in the middle of quiet nature, it is still a relatively short distance to the town of Jämsä and the activities of Himos. The place is private, but there are permanent residents and neighbors along the lakeshore whose peace must be respected. The property is not suitable for loud parties late in the evening or at night. Outdoor quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM. Nearby UNESCO World Heritage Sites include the Old Church of Petäjävesi and the Verla Groundwood and Board Mill. The Serlachius Museums and the Alvar Aalto Museum also offer cultural experiences. All year-round activities and events in the Jämsä area can be found on the HimosJämsä website.
