We discovered this piece of paradise whilst on our honeymoon in 2006. We enjoyed a few days at Anthony Robbins Resort ‘Namale’ on Vanua Levu (the island seen across the Somosomo Straits from Lomani). We then travelled to Taveuni to enjoy a private luxury house in contrast to a resort. It was here that we discovered the opportunity to create Lomani. Lomani is not a resort. Lomani is a private house offering total privacy in a very romantic setting with all the comforts of home and more. Lomani is your home away from home offering you the choice of rest and tranquillity, adventure and sport, entertainment and a very unique South Pacific cultural experience . Lomani is located approximately 10 minutes from Matei airport and is conveniently between Matei and Waiyevo both of which offer a number of restaurants and shops. Once on the island, there are a range of transport options including: Lomani bicycles - for those looking to exercise and enjoy the beauty of Taveuni Island on a bicycle; Taxis - there are a number of local taxis which are available. In addition, transport arrangements using the Lomani car can be made directly with Knox with fees equivalent to local taxis but with added convenience and your local guide Knox. The flight from Nadi to Taveuni is approximately one hour via Fiji Airways Fiji Link Service and is a very scenic flight which is an experience n itself over a number of islands and coral reefs. Transfers between the airport and Lomani and return are included in our rates and Knox will meet you at the airport and return you for your departure.

My name is Saskia and I am a mom of 2 children, 12 & 13. We currently live in Dallas, Texas. We have lived in many places over the past 12 years including Texas, Darwin, Malaysia, Perth, Melbourne and Thailand. Our children have loved the experience of living overseas whilst they are young and certainly have kept us on our toes. We cant wait to welcome you to our home in Fiji and hope you can relax and enjoy the magical island of Taveuni.

Upon first arriving in Taveuni I experienced the magic of the South Pacific made famous by classic novels. More recently, Taveuni was the location for filming The Return of the Blue Lagoon. We are on a tidal beach so swimming & kayaking are available 21 hours per day. And a tidal beach means it is easy to swim or kayak out to the wonderful reefs that are 10-15 minute swim, 10 minutes by kayak. The 2 kayaks are right here on the beach for you to use. You're an easy drive from numerous water sport and marine life adventures, such as the Rainbow reef. Bouma National Heritage Park with its renowned waterfalls, is a 30 minute drive away. Fantastic hiking, bird watching, scuba diving, horse riding, fishing, snorkelling to name a few!
