The property is located in the historic center of Quillan, on the edge of a quiet road . The house is on three levels all very different in character, each one decorated to bring out it's personality and warmth. The kitchen is full size with plenty of room for enjoying cooking the local produce. It contains an electric oven,gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster. All utensils and pans, crockery and cutlery,tea towels, washing products are included. There is also a washing machine. The dining table comfortably sits 5 or 6 people. The lounge area has a large settee. The next floor has a pretty bedroom with a bathroom next door ( not en suite). All bedding,duvets,sheets,pillows ,blankets are included. The bathroom has a large shower, toilet and basin. The room has heating. Towels,bathmats, toiletries and a hairdryer are included. The next floor will be providing an additional bedroom from Easter 2025 onwards. This will sleep 2 people. Photos to follow! Up in the attic is a cosy , bright single bedroom,with a single bed. It has a clothes hanging area ,a velux window ,a radiator and a fan. Very sweet room. Again all bedding etc is included. Each room has heating and clim or a fan. There is also an iron, ironing board available.

I have worked in hospitality for many years but this is our first venture on our own. It brings together all the ideas that I have been saving for my own 'home away from home' project. We want our guests to walk into the property and feel welcomed,relaxed and special! I want my guests to feel at home, so that they can concentrate on having a wonderful holiday. We have lived in France for 20 years , brought up our son here and love our lifestyle. Here so close to the mountains we enjoy our passion for biking, walking , swimming in the rivers in the summer and picnics!

This area is magical! Mountains,rivers ,walks, kayaking, history, vultures, biking just to name a few. Quillan so vibrant and different. From concerts to a hill climbing competition amazing vehicles, to a mobylette weekend brilliant! Each weekend in summer is full of things to do. Visit the Gorges de Galamus,take a picnic into the mountains. But then add Carcassonne and it's history close by. Cathars and their tragic story which unfolds across the region..Mysterious happenings in Château Les Bains. Local markets so diverse and full of local produce. The tourist information office is full of wonderful ideas for all the family. However if you are here for a longer stay there is the Mediterranean in the other direction, Perpignan and it's historic center with amazing architecture,look out for the beautiful iron railings! Or visit Collioure near the Spanish border for lunch,leave early as it is so popular Limoux and it's historic carnival at the beginning of the year. It's museum of the piano. The museum of automatons, wonderfully eccentric! I personally don't think you could be ever bored by what this area offers.
