Recently renovated to a high standard, these spacious, open plan apartments offer a comfortable base from which to explore this beautiful region of France. The apartments benefit from a central village location, within a short stroll of the local grocery store and its local wine producers who invite you to visit their ‘caves’ for wine-tasting! Each apartment offers a light and spacious open plan living area, a comfortable bedroom and modern private bathroom with large walk in shower. There is a double sofabed in the lounge, plus flat-screen TV, DVD player, bluetooth sound system and WIFI...which is free!. Please note that both apartments are on the first floor, accessible by stairs only. We respect our guests privacy thus we offer a speedy, hassle free self-check-in with onsite key safe for key collection. However, we are not far away should any problems arise.
The busy village of Caudiès is situated just an hour inland from the Mediterranean beaches amid the vineyards of France's largest wine producing region and surrounded by the mountain forests of the Pyrenean foothills in the heart of Cathar country. Besides the wine tasting!, it offers the perfect location from which to enjoy all the activities the region has to offer....hiking, cycling, kayaking, rafting, wild swimming, lakes, gorges, Cathar castles, etc.. and with miles of trails direct from the doorstep the location couldn't be better for walking & mountain biking.... even the ski slopes are only just over an hour away. The use of a car is recommended and there is plenty of free parking in the village. It is possible to get around by public transport, but it is limited...There is a 1euro bus network in the region and the 'Train Rouge' travels up and down the valley in the summer season.
