Our holiday home is located 50 km from Périgueux, 37 km from Brive-la-Gaillarde, and 81 km from Limoges. We are situated at the crossroads of the Green and Black Périgord regions, right on the edge of the regional nature park. This peaceful, leafy setting is highly appreciated by those wishing to explore nature at their own pace or simply unwind in a relaxing hot tub. The small town of Hautefort, just 13 km away, boasts a magnificent château featuring formal French gardens and a museum of medicine. The Auvèzère Gorges are perfect for hiking and sightseeing enthusiasts—with the lucky few even catching a glimpse of mouflons or otters. During peak season, you can try your hand at gold panning in Jumilhac-le-Grand or visit the Savignac-Lédrier ironworks. Finally, for those looking for a livelier evening out, a casino has recently opened in Arnac-Pompadour—known as the "City of the Horse"—located 20 km away. Hello Welcome to Badger Cottage, I`m Dean and Wife is Laurence. I moved to France in 2000 and Married my wife in 2015 who is French. The Property is a small holding with are pride in animals, We have Horses and Sheep and a Goat and Chickens and Ducks, Along with 3 Dogs and 3 Cats. The Animals are kept separate from the Rental Cottage.

We are Rural, not a built up area at all.
