An oak staircase, installed in 1850, leads you upstairs to this unique first floor, self-contained appartment with private entrance and parking. Previously part of the Hotel Bellevue which closed in the 1950's, The Bellevue Loft has been totally renovated; the original stone walls have been revealed and re-surfaced by hand and the original oak floorboards have been exposed and lovingly re-sanded. The owner, an experienced stone mason and builder, has taken great care to use authentic techniques and traditional materials, resulting in a rare high-quality renovation, entirely respecting the building's age whilst intergrating modern comforts. The Bellevue Loft is tastefully decorated with several pieces of unique upcycled furniture and handcrafted accessories. There is a comfortable, open-plan living space and the kitchen area (featuring a gas hob) is fully equipped for your self-catering requirements. The sofa easily converts into a small double bed and the double bedroom has an en-suite shower room. A seperate WC has been created & a cosy outside dining area is available for guests to enjoy.

Nowadays, the pictoresque troglodyte village of Trôo is well known for it's cave dwellings and idyllic scenery but in Medieval times, Trôo was a strategically important, thriving fortified city.
