Twenty years ago we decided to find a holiday home in France. Our residence at that time was in the Netherlands. We found Le Coustal, the property we still live, and had to do a lot of restoration works. Afterwards we restored some more buildings on the property, of which Le Coustal is also used for holiday lettings. At a later stage we could buy Laborie, which took two years in restoring and in 2014, we could use this house as well for Holiday Lettings. We proceeded with a Spa and now our Cabane Rouge-Gorge. 11 Years ago we moved to the United Arab Emirates where we founded our own Engineering Company in Fujairah, one of the 7 Emirates. We still live and work there, however I now spend quite a few months yearly in France to take care of the property. We have two sons and one daughter, who all live in the Netherlands, however recently my daughter has been assisting me in the summer months to help me with the ever increasing work load.

" The Cabane Rouge-Gorge is a charming tree house, which we recently constructed on a part of our Domain Lalande-Laborie. The tree house is surrounded by a large terrace, which overlooks meadows and trees. In the quieter seasons, such as spring and autumn you can spot deer or wild boar. You can enjoy having your breakfast on the terrace or having a glass of wine in the evening and enjoy the peace and quietness of the surroundings. Inside the treehouse is equipped with a large comfortable double bed, a kitchen corner with a fridge, a microwave, Nespresso machine, and an electrical kettle. A small bathroom with walk-in shower. A seating area with sofa, which can be converted into a double bed. The tree house has airconditioning and heating, so in all seasons it is comfortable. Wifi is available, as well as a barbecue. On the downstairs terrace we have placed a Hot Tub, which can be heated with wood. On the domain you can also find our Spa, with Sauna, Jacuzzi, Steam Room, Massage Room and Fitness Area. The tree house can be reached on foot, however we will always assist with your luggage upon arrival and departure. A parking area is nearby.

Neighborhood info

The Dordogne remains to me one of the most beautiful regions in France. Every time I am back from the United Arab Emirates I am amazed how beautiful the country side is in all seasons. The lovely villages and towns, such as Sarlat and Perigueux. The markets in the many villages. The castles and rivers, such as La Dordogne and Le Vezere. There are many activities for young and old,such as canoeing and horse riding, hiking, mountainbiking. We are close to the town of Montignac, with its famous caves of Lascaux.
