We invite you to savour the fantastic view of the Château de Hautefort from our campsite and to enjoy our personal service like many who return year after year. We are proud to offer you: – Restaurant and Bar – Swimming Pool (May to September) – Showers, Toilets and Wash Basin – Breakfast & Newspaper Delivery – Shop – Electric coolboxes, Linen & Towels for hire – Free Freezing Facilities – Free Wi-fi – Free “Book Swap” Library We are in a tranquil setting just 3km from Hautefort with museums that will tell you the history of the area...well worth a visit.
There’s a wide range of activities to suit everyone, and, many are within 3 kilometres of us... - Canoeing - Kayaking - Paintball - Fishing Lake - Sauna - Horse Riding - Jacuzzi - Free Tennis - Cycle Paths - Pedal Karts We have leaflets on many attractions and we’re more than happy to make any bookings for you if your French is a little "rusty" ! Hautefort lies in the Périgord Noir, one of four regions in the Périgord (the Dordogne) and is home to many villages nominated as “the most beautiful in France”. Terrasson is famous for its bridges (some from the 12th century) that connect the low lying new district with the higher old quarter. The market, each week, offers a good selection of fresh produce. Périgueux (our capital) has more attractions and historic monuments than anywhere in France (except Paris, of course !) The city is on the River Isle and a great place to shop, lunch or for a trip. The castles at Castelnaud and Beynac nestle on steep cliffs above the Dordogne river and there are palaces like “La Petite Filolie” and “Puymartin” which are all worth a visit.
