Treat yourself to the life of a castle in an 18th century mansion in the city center of Falaise, built on the wall facing the Chateau de la Fresnaye and its wooded park, listed as a historic monument, between the Pays d'Auge and Norman Switzerland, between the landing beaches and Mont-Saint-Michel... Private and secured parking On the ground floor, the vestibule which hosts a gallery of old paintings and a living room with woodwork, Versailles parquet flooring and a fireplace in pure Louis XVI style where, depending on the season, breakfast will be served in front of a fireplace or open windows facing the Parc de la Fresnaye. Upstairs, a small living room next to the bedrooms welcomes you to read or play cards, you can also watch television. A refrigerator, an electric kettle, a Nespresso coffee maker and a microwave oven are at your disposal in the kitchen on the 1st floor. Free Wi-Fi connection (fiber) The restaurants are less than 5 minutes away on foot. You will discover the castle where William the Conqueror was born as well as the town hall which was built by the Argentan architect, Nicolas Gondouin, the same architect to whom we owe the Saint-Léonard hotel.
Lovers of old houses and paintings, we will welcome you to our house in a pure 18th century spirit, representative of French savoir vivre.
Falaise has many restaurants, which you can reach on foot, they are close to Castel Saint-Léonard. The offer is wide ranging from gastronomy to traditional cuisine of a brasserie. It is strongly recommended to book a table in advance in the restaurant of your choice. Birthplace of William the Conqueror, Falaise has several museums, including the fortified castle where this famous king of England was born. Recently the Memorial to Civil Victims has joined the tourist route of the landing beaches as well as the Caen Memorial. The Museum of Automata retraces the history of a family company and presents a prestigious collection of automata made for the windows of the department stores of Paris, since the end of the 19th century. You can park your vehicle in the courtyard of honor of the private mansion. The tourist office is full of good ideas for your walks between Pays d'Auge and Suisse Normande, it is located a few minutes' walk from Castel Saint-Léonard.
