In the middle of a beautiful 'Petite Cite de Caractere' in the lovely and easily accessible Mayenne region of France, our imposing Maison is conveniently placed for relaxing, walking or exploring the local sights. the Chateaux of the Loire are also a short drive away and many other local attractions are nearby, including the lovely town of Mayenne and its river & the bustling City of Laval. We have 2 lovely & seperate rooms available with their own modern bathrooms.We are lovingly renovating the house and have restored many original features. We have 2 private bedrooms that are charmingly decorated and and although we have tried to keep the character & charm of the old building, each bedroom has it's own private & modern bathroom, one is an en suite. the bathrooms have been renovated and are of a clean & modern standard. We supply continental breakfast included in the price which can be served in the breakfast/dining room or on the Terrace (weather permitting) We are also able to supply evening meals 'en famille' at your request (with notice)

Hi I am Gill and I would love to host you in our tastefully renovated village house in the beautiful countryside of Mayenne.

We are in the middle of the village with the Mairie directly opposite, it is a small village so usually quiet, although the fabulous Eglise Notre Dame is practically next door and does have a bell! It is worth a look around as it has some beautiful stained glass windows and interesting architecture. Next door we have a very good boulangerie, with delicious pastries and cakes available. 10 minutes walk away there is a Coccimarket (small supermarket) for all your shopping needs and bread, wine cheese etc. Across the road from our house there is a very good restaurant, Voyageurs it is approx 15E for a 3 course meal with wine weekday lunchtimes. Nellie's Creperie and bar is 2 minutes walk away and is lovely for a crepe and a cup of local cider at the weekend. There is also a very good takeaway pizza van on Wednesday nights. There is a local market for local produce on a Friday night including cheese, honey, wine, cider and beer , vegetables and bread. The cashpoint is 2 minutes in the other direction (up the road). The A1 trout River Ernee runs through the village and you can buy a fishing license and fish practically next door to our house! Freinds of ours have also used a kayak on the river. There are numerous places to sit and enjoy the River & the beautiful scenery.
