Chalet Cannelle is a 200 year old cowshed that has had a complete renewal and is now a Chambre d’hôte in Chatel in the French Alps. We serve a complete hot and cold breakfast every morning with hot drinks, juices, cereals, homemade granola, yogurts, bread, freshly baked croissants and a hot option with eggs from our free range chickens. WINTER Open from December to April for wintersports in the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest ski domains in the world and just 90 minutes from Geneva. Bed & Breakfast and Fully Catered Stays are available SUMMER Open from June to September for our guests to enjoy the peace and beauty of the French Alps for walking, cycling, family activities and day trips to nearby places, such as Lake Geneva, Montreux and Yvoire. Chalet Cannelle is hosted and loved by us, Andy & Lorraine. Our perfect holiday would be something active; skiing, walking or biking, mixed in with good food markets, some time to relax, glorious scenery topped off with a delicious meal. After many years in the corporate world it was time for a change and creating a catered chalet in the French Alps was the perfect fit for us. We had long dreamed of creating an alpine retreat that felt more boutique hotel than just another catered ski chalet. With plenty of travel and adventure under our belts, we took our experiences and ideas to create Chalet Cannelle. We love the journey we have been on; from creating furniture and designs in the chalet, meeting some fascinating people and learning to grow and rear our own food. We want our guests to feel as comfortable as they would in their own home while also experiencing a holiday somewhere unique and wonderful. At Chalet Cannelle, with the log fire and mountain views, you'll never forget you're in the mountains, but all life's modern needs are to hand. Nothing is better than comfort after an active alpine day. Our aim is to make sure you have a special holiday in the beautiful French Alps. Whether a winter skiing holiday or a summer walking holiday, we love nothing more than advising our guests on the best powder packed pistes, the most scenic hike or the best tartiflette in the valley. We take care of everything in the chalet to ensure no detail is missed and we take pride in the attention to detail and service that we provide for our guests. Chalet Cannelle is located in a small hamlet on the outskirts of the village of Chatel. It is a peaceful location with large garden and views to enjoy. In the summer, we recommend a car to make the most of your visit to a number of places in and around Chatel as well as some great days trips.
