After many years spent working in luxury hotels, we decided it was time for a "change of lifestyle" for us and our child. We fell in love with Burgundy and would like to share our passion for this beautiful region, rich in history and gastronomy, with you. As your hosts, we look forward to helping you have an enjoyable stay.

L'Orée du Bois Bourgogne is a charming guest house built in a fully enclosed 3,000 m2 park and ideally located in the countryside halfway between Beaune and Dijon and only about four and half miles away (7kms) from Nuits Saint Georges and the closest highway exit. Our four rooms - from 22 to 28 m2 - each have their own style and can accommodate up to 8 people. They all have the amenities of modern houses but also the charm of ancient buildings. In the summer months, you'll be able to relax in our heated pool in a quiet and calm environment, among forests and fields. You will also discover Burgundy wines carefully chosen for you in our wine shop. Except on Saturday, on reservation at least 48 hours in advance you can dine a single menu which includes a starter, a main course, an assortment of cheese and a dessert. All dishes are homemade or selected from renowned local producers. You can pick your wine in a list of over hundred Burgundy wines to go with your meal. A selection of liquors and spirits is also available for those who appreciate a nice night cap.

L'Orée du Bois is perfectly located, mid-way between Beaune and Dijon. In just a few minutes, you can start exploring the many treasures of beautiful Burgundy. The Route des Grands Vins and its many Appellations, such as Clos Vougeot, Pommard and Meursault. Beaune, the capital of Burgundy Wines, and Dijon, with its old town filled with History. Burgundy also contains the Morvan Natural Park, Alesia, a wealth of Romanesque churches and châteaux, Abbeys (Cluny, Fontenay and Cîteaux). And for sports lovers there are the greenways and the Burgundy Canal, where you can stroll along the waterside.
