Chateau de Jalesnes has unique history dating back to the crusades, but the fully renovated building to create an aparthotel opened in 2015 - for guests from all over the world. Rooms can be individually booked or the whole chateau can be booked for large events such as weddings and birthday parties.
Our team is here to support guests from near and far - to welcome them to the Loire valley, give suggestions for local restaurants, explore family activities, provide super ideas for tourism in the area or just to direct them to their rooms and the inviting pool! All guests - singles, couples or families are more than welcome to have a relaxing time foraging in the veggie patch, herb garden or orchard or just hang out by the pool on a beautiful summer's day. This is your holiday to enjoy your surroundings.

A lovingly restored 17th Century Loire Valley Chateau comprised of seventeen 5* self- catering apartments each with living space, kitchen and en-suite bathrooms. The ground floor also offers a salon and library, a grand reception hall seating up to 150 people and the stunning chapel with its stained glass window.
The property offers recently landscaped gardens in the french style with a 20m heated outdoor pool (in season), a petanque court, a jumbo sized chess set, a table tennis table outdoors and 20 acres of woodland criss-crossed with pathways for secluded walks.

Served by its own village of Vernantes with its mellow limestone buildings, you can enjoy a typical French country lifetstyle with cafes, bars, boulangerie and friendly local people.
In the midst of a National Park, you are an easy 19 km drive from Saumur, the equestrian centre of France, famed for its National Riding School with its ‘Cadre Noir’ dressage display team. Saumur is also the home to many wine producers whose 'caves' line the Loire river.
Gastronomy is not in short supply with many restaurants in the area finding favour in the Guide Michelin
We are a short drive to Abbaye de Fontevraud – final resting place of Richard the Lionheart and of his mother Eleanor of Aquitaine
The Chateau is in the heart of the Loire Valley, the Garden of France, renowned for its abundance of vineyards - Vouvray, Chinon, Bourgeuil, Muscadet and Chateaux - Brissac, Breze, Amboise, Ambonnay, Villandry, Chenonceau to name a few.
Great watersports, parachuting, golf and hot air ballooning, not to mention excellent cycling and rambling trails.
For the kids; a day visit to the conservation - friendly Bioparc Zoo at Doué la Fontaine is a 'must' receiving as it does, unanimous approval from younger guests as well as a day at Puy du Fou - in the top three theme parks in Europe!
