The Castle is a building from the 13th century, and used to be the property of Dupuy-Montbrun family. Restoration works are on going. Located between Mount Ventoux, Lure and Luberon, this fortified castle farm is a peaceful heaven in the middle of lavender fields. The buildings offers 5 B&B rooms and 2 appartments. Each room is equiped with private bathroom and toilets. On site, you can enjoy the restaurant, wellness massage, exhibitions and visits and activities organised on the property to discover Provence and our lavender production.
This building is a family business. Our project is to restore this castle that remained abandoned for a long time. We are lavender growers but we developped a hotel buisiness to host people at our property and share our passion for this place. We make everything in our power to offer you quality stays with well-being, quiet and authenticity. Our estate is under organic agriculture and offer organic and local food for meals.
The Château de la Gabelle is located in High Provence. It is a wild place on a limestone plateau, at almost 1,000m high. It is a place where summers are very dry, days are quite hot but nights are fresh. Spring and Autumn are very enjoyable because quite warm. Winter is cold and very often snow-covered. Many activities are possible nearby : hiking, cycling, visits, thermal cure, horsing, spa etc. Do not hesitate to ask us to help you organise your stay !
