Château de la Motte is run by a passionate Franco-Danish couple: painter Gaëtan de Séguin and his wife Kristina, yoga teacher. This enchanting place reflects our love of art, well-being and nature. At the reception “ACCUEIL”, you'll find an art gallery where you can admire Gaëtan's work,a shop selling local products. Our commitment to ecology and respect for the environment is reflected in the sustainable practices we adopt in the day-to-day running of the estate and in the activities we offer, such as Kristina's yoga classes, held in this exceptional, relaxing setting. We will be happy to provide you with advice on sightseeing, beaches, cultural and sporting activities, as well as our best local addresses. We'll do everything we can to make your stay enjoyable, ensuring you can relax, discover and be inspired!

Nestling on the picturesque outskirts of the village of Marcorignan, in the heart of the Languedoc region, Château de la Motte is a noble and enchanting property. Close to the historic Canal du Midi and the Mediterranean Sea, with beautiful views over olive groves and vineyards stretching as far as the majestic Pyrenees on a clear day, this haven of peace offers the perfect escape into the gentle French way of life. At Château de la Motte, you can live in one of our delightful houses decorated with artists' paintings. Each has a charming private garden with table, chairs and grill. Here, tranquillity is the order of the day. Depending on your mood, you can socialise over a glass of rosé, or relax and read in the shade of a fig tree. If you come as a family, it doesn't take long for the children to make friends, leaving you free to share their games or just relax.

There are many wonderful walks from the estate, and the surrounding area, with its picturesque villages and diverse landscapes (vineyards, mountains, lakes, sea), is a paradise for walkers and cyclists. The heart of the village of Marcorignan (just a 5-minute walk away) proposes Roman remains and a charming 12th-century church. There is also a lively restaurant/bar, patisserie/bakery, pizzeria, tennis court, hairdresser, pharmacy and medical center. Just 5 km away is the famous Canal du Midi port of Le Somail, where you can enjoy an evening of bars, restaurants, ice-cream parlours and music. Narbonne, with its market hall voted the best in France and its impressive Gothic cathedral, is 8 km away. Gruissan, with its famous chalets on stilts and vast beaches, is 25 km away.The medieval city of Carcassonne, a World Heritage site, is 50 km away.
