The chateau owners (Peter & Karina) are sociable people. After earlier careers in London and Krakow they opened their home to make friends, meet likeminded people and bring life to the chateau. Rieutort has never been to them a business - the chateau is their home which, with great pleasure, they share with their guests.

Property info

Chateau Rieutort was built in the 18th century and has been fully renovated to modern standards while preserving its old charm. It is situated on the banks of the Herault river, surrounded by a 200 years old park and vineyards. Rieutort is a wine domain allowing you to taste superb wines made on site in a form of a paid, tutored wine tasting with 2 different options in the offer: introduction tasting for novices in the world of wine and a connoisseur tasting. The chateau has no restaurant but you can count on a cheese & charcuterie plate as well as salads and wine to be available. Breakfast is served in a form of a Swedish buffet. Feeling tired? Book yourselves a relaxing massage. The manager of the chateau has been trained in Poland, Chech republic and qualified with the London School of Health&Beauty and offer different massage techniques. Sauna & a giant jacuzzi are also available for you (at an additional cost). Searching for something special in the season? At Chateau Rieutort you have a choice of two outdoor swimming pools : traditional and naturist (situated in a secluded part of the park and not overlooked)

The location of the chateau is just amazing: close to the beach but tucked away in the peace of the countryside. The chateau is a one hour drive from Montpellier airport and 30 minutes from Beziers airport (Ryanair), situated in the proximity of stunning historical towns like Pezenas and St Guilhem le Desert. If you like water sports or hiking; the Herault River (swimming, fishing and kayaking), Lake Salagou (windsurfing, pedal boats), the Mediterranean and Cirque de Navacelles are all less then an hour's drive from the Chateau. Golf? 30 minutes away at Cap d'Agde. You are also welcome to use the complimentary bicycles, games room as well as outdoor games zone: petanque field, darts, table tennis.
