What I want to offer with my flats Chatrou 1 and Chatrou 2 is good quality for a very reasonable price. You get a modern flat for the price of a hotel room. Maintenance, hygiene, safety and service are my top priorities. The beds are electrically adjustable. You have modern large TVs. The wifi connection is excellent, as the house has a fibre-optic connection. The bathrooms and kitchens are spotless and modern. The terraces are at the back of the house overlooking a beautiful garden. You will enjoy divine peace and quiet there. The flats have their own entrance. You will be pleasantly surprised!!!
I am a Dutchman living in France since 2013. I was 53 at the time. I then got the opportunity and the means to start living in France and to create my income with my hobbies. I love turning a ruin into a beautiful house, and in doing so, I specialised in renovating half-timbered houses, because they are so strong and flexible. I also really enjoy decorating a house and its garden. Welcoming guests and making sure they have a nice stay and offering service is also something I really enjoy doing. It also helps me to maintain and expand my language skills. I speak French, German, English and Dutch. I hope to welcome you soon!
Chatrou is located in the middle of Champagne. Around Chatrou, cycling and hiking are great. Especially with an e-bike it is great to explore the area. The nearest town is Vitry le François. Here you will find many restaurants in all price ranges and terraces. The central square is very nicely decorated. You can do your shopping about 5 kilometres away in a suburb of Vitry. You will find a bakery one kilometre away and a nice restaurant 150 metres from Chatrou. There is also a large Leclerc hypermarket in Vitry. Of course, you will also want to enjoy all that Lac du Der has to offer in terms of nature and relaxation. The beaches are beautiful and peaceful. But Lac du Der is most beautiful in autumn and winter when it is almost dry and visited by thousands of cranes.
Chatrou is also an excellent base to visit wineries and to visit the many World War I monuments.
You will also enjoy a day trip to Troyes, Reims, Epernay or Langres.
