Completely renovated family home comprising 2 bedrooms (+ cot on request), living room, kitchen, bathroom, separate WC, outdoor courtyard, private parking in front of the house. You have access to the courtyard if you wish to bring your vehicle into the courtyard. You can bring your four-legged friends (small dog).
As guests, we always choose gîtes when we go on vacation. We had the opportunity to keep this house, which has been in the family since before the war, and we had the idea of transforming it into a gîte to welcome holidaymakers ourselves. For the record, this house used to be the Restaurant de la Gare, as it was located next to the Merxheim train station. The station building has been demolished, but the restaurant is still in business. Convenient for getting to Colmar, Mulhouse or Strasbourg without taking the car. In 1951, the maternal grandmother took over the Restaurant until 2016, when she retired.
Merxheim is ideally located halfway between Colmar and Mulhouse, and is close to major roads. Colmar or Mulhouse can be reached in 30 minutes, Strasbourg in 1 hour. Merxheim has a train station on the Strasbourg - Mulhouse - Basel line. Nearby, you'll find wine cellars in Pfaffenheim, Gueberschwihr, Hattstatt and Eguisheim. Cultural attractions include museums, zoos, Christmas markets and children's parks. More information in the gîte.
