We are a French-English father and daughter who have chosen to restaure an 18th century property that had been abandoned for nearly half a century. The 30 acre listed garden reflets our DNA : an English garden with incorporating French structured elements.Having spent years working internationally, we are now working from here. We are very involved with Historical and Heritage associations and have the labels Fondation du Patrimoine et Demeure en Devenir. Apart from national Heritage (buildings and gardens), our hobbies derive from our world travels over the last 30 years: Cooking, cultures, stories big and small, Antiques... Well, all the good things in life and further exploring the humanity.

The longer you stay, the cheaper it gets! La Mignardière : This is the old aviary of a French 18th century castle situated at the heart of Calvados in Normandy. It has been renovated with quality materials respecting traditional workmanship. Nothing shabby here; just chic! This gîte, with its own dedicated garden is located within the grounds of the Domaine de Saint-Germain de Marolles, boasting an 18th century château. The high standards of its amenities and equipments will make your stay mémorable. On a cheese or calvados trail? A beach explorer? An historical enthusiast? : Camembert, D-Day beaches, Deauville and Honfleur are just a stone throw away...) Maybe you prefer hiking or cycling? Lots of paths will take you through the gorgeous countryside of Normandy. Whatever you choose to do, La Mignardière will be the perfect way to spend memorable and convivial times with friends and family. With a view to encourage responsible electricity consumption and to avoid overconsumption, we reserve the right to charge you extra for your electricity usage during the length of your stay (meter reading at the beginning and the end of stay).
