Welcome to Dharma Farm, our family mountain home in the Jura Mountains, which we share as a peaceful retreat surrounded by forest, streams and mountain views.
We live here part-time and love the simple rhythm of life in nature. The house is designed to help guests slow down, disconnect from busy routines and enjoy time together without distraction. Many guests stay as families, groups of friends or for special gatherings, and we hope they leave feeling rested and reconnected.
This is a lived-in family home, not a hotel, and we share it with guests who appreciate its rustic and simple character. It is intentionally low-tech, encouraging a break from screens and a return to presence, conversation and shared time.
We enjoy hosting guests who love the outdoors and mountain life. The area offers skiing in winter, hiking and cycling in warmer months, and swimming in lakes and rivers nearby. There are also traditional villages, markets, restaurants and local food experiences within a short drive.
Inside the house you will find books, board games, children’s toys and a projector for cosy movie nights in the second living space. Outside, guests can enjoy long meals, barbecues, fireside evenings and space for children to play freely in nature.
We are not a hotel, but a family home shared with respectful guests who value nature, simplicity and time together. We offer space, privacy and freedom while remaining available if needed.
Our hope is that guests leave Dharma Farm feeling rested, reconnected and inspired by nature.
We also kindly ask guests to respect that certain areas of the land, including the upper forest and back field areas where our yurt and caravan are located, remain private and are not part of the guest space. Pets and additional guests (over 14 people) are welcome on request and may be subject to an additional charge depending on numbers and arrangements.
The neighbourhood around Dharma Farm is a peaceful alpine setting in the Jura Mountains, surrounded by forests, meadows, rivers and mountain views. Guests enjoy a strong sense of space and nature, with a stream on the land and a river directly across the road.
This is an ideal location for outdoor stays in all seasons. Walking and hiking routes start directly from the property, making it easy to explore without driving. In summer, guests enjoy cycling, swimming, picnics and exploring valleys and forests. In winter, the area becomes a snowy landscape ideal for skiing, sledging and cosy mountain stays.
Nearby destinations include:
• 8 minutes to Lélex and Mijoux ski resorts

Local villages such as Mijoux, Lélex, Les Rousses and Gex offer supermarkets, bakeries, shops and traditional French and Savoyard restaurants. The wider region also includes lakes, spas, swimming areas, cinemas and indoor leisure centres, making it suitable year-round in all weather.
The Jura region is known for its natural beauty, wildlife, forests and traditional mountain culture. It offers a quiet alternative to busier Alpine resorts while remaining close to Lake Geneva and Geneva city for day trips and travel connections.
Parking is available on site for several vehicles in normal conditions. In winter, during heavy snowfall, access may require parking at the bottom of the private driveway and a short walk up to the house. This is common in mountain areas and part of the seasonal experience.
After booking confirmation, guests will receive detailed pre-arrival information including bed configuration details, what to bring and practical preparation notes.
A check-in guide video will also be sent prior to arrival showing access, parking and how to enter the property to ensure a smooth self check-in experience.
