Domaine Beaumont is a vineyard bed and breakfast at the gates of Saumur, nestled in the charming village of Distré. Entering through the entrance gates be transported into an idyllic countryside vineyard, surrounded by two hectares of wooded parkland and four hectares of vines. Stay in one of three rustic-chic guest suites. Enjoy a panier vigneron supper, wander through the vines, or join Gérald, the winemaker, for a wine tasting of our production in the cathedral-like cellar. When I arrived in France, the softness of the Loire Valley and its tuffeau stone villages immediately echoed my native region, The Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. I have always had a weakness for the French way of life and for French wines..! This also explains my meeting of Gérald, my dear husband, from generations of winegrowers and who you will undoubtedly come across in the vines. I invite you here as if staying at your own home! Distré is a pretty village set at the gates of Saumur with excellent access to main roads and just 4km from Saumur centre-ville. Our vineyard offers a true countryside escape, surrounded by vines and nature, and within a moments drive to the main attractions in Saumur and the surrounding area. Want to stay nestled in our tranquil vineyard setting? Treat yourself to the ‘panier vigneron’ and all the flavours that accompany it. A selection of fine charcuterie and flavoursome cheeses as only the Loire Valley can offer... served with fresh salad and a crispy baguette.
