The comfort of a fully renovated room and the warm welcome of a homestay. The air-conditioned room, located upstairs, features a double bed, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a private toilet. Towels and bed linen are provided. Additional to the overnight stay: - Continental breakfast featuring a selection of homemade products. - Evening meal on request. Set menu “Dinner of the Day” with aperitif, main course, dessert + 1 drink. Home-style cooking. Please specify when booking your stay or at least 48 hours in advance.
Having recently retired, I’m throwing myself into welcoming visitors with great enthusiasm! Having made the Aisne my home, I’ve fallen in love with this region. I’d be delighted to share its attractions with you.
The village where our accommodation is located lies halfway between Reims and Laon, in a hilly, wooded area steeped in history. It is just a stone’s throw from the Chemin des Dames, a key site of the First World War. There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the surrounding area. Culture & heritage: - World War I memorial sites, - Battle of the Chemin des Dames, - “Caverne des Dragons” museum, - Vauclair Abbey, - Champagne vineyards (cellar tours, Champagne tourist route), - Reims: city of coronations, - Medieval town of Laon... Leisure: - Center Parcs “Domaine de l’Ailette”, - Axo-plage at Lake Monampteuil, - Pavillon de Vauclair... Sports: - Signposted walks and cycle routes, close to the GR® 145 and the Via Francigena. - Cycling routes: the Ailette Greenway, the historic Chemin des Dames route, villages along the Champagne tourist route…, - Golf courses: the Bluegreen de l’Ailette golf course, the Menneville golf course, the Reims golf course..., - Canoeing, kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding on several stretches of the wild Aisne...
