Gite d'Ecosse is an immaculately presented ground floor studio with own private access. There is a sitting area with two large sofas and 42" smart TV. The kitchenette is compact with 2 ring hob, fridge, sink, microwave, kettle toaster and all utensils. There is supplied for your convenience: coffee, tea, milk, sugar, butter, jam and cereal. The bedroom area comprises a double bed with two bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and clothes hanger. The bedroom area can be screened off with curtains for extra privacy. The shower room has a sink and shower with fresh towels provided. Shampoo, soap and hairdryer also available. There is a separate WC. All floor space is tiled and walls white washed giving a fresh and clean appearance. There are shutters on the large window. The studio is bright and airy.
We took the decision to move to the South of France in September 2016. When we came upon Azille there was no looking back and wow we haven't regretted a single moment of it. When my husband knew he was going to be made redundant from over 30 yrs in the oil industry we knew what our next move was! We both enjoy renovating albeit I leave the messy jobs to my husband and I concentrate on the designing. When we found our property it was time again for some hard work. I have been visiting France for the past 16years, mainly to visit my childhood friend and have always loved the languedoc area. I enjoy meeting new people and with lots of help and encouragement from friend realised letting out an apartment would be ideal.
Azille is a quaint but vibrant village in the heart of the Minervois. There is such a great sense of community within the village. There is a fantastic wine bar/gallery which holds events regularly. There are two restaurants, a bar, tabac, boulangiery, shop, Indian takeaway and two hairdressers.
Azille is close to many attractions. Lac Jouarres, the famous Canal du Mid and Minerve are in the 'must visit'. The areas in and around Azille are cyclists paradise. I also offer free cycle storage in our locked garage. Carcasonne is 30 mins drive, Narbonne 35 mins and access to motorway is 15 mins. Must add that you can visit Spain in 1hrs 30 mins. Beautiful Gruissan plate is a mere 40 mins drive. Walking around Azille and surrounding areas you get an excellent view of the Montagne Noir to the south and the Midi Pyrenees to the south.
