The cottage has two terraces, one to the south and the other to the west overlooking the orchard. The orchard (900m ²) is accessible to our guests as the flowery path leading from the private parking of the cottage (2 sites) to the cottage. The cottage is on the edge of the village of MUTZIG. Behind the house, an old orchard of 900 m2, then begins a hill covered with orchards, vineyards, forest, allowing walks on foot near the house. The nearest villages are Mutzig, Molsheim and Obernai. This cottage in Alsace was created in 2002 first to receive our family during their visits in our region and was opened to rent in 2004 to help finance our own holiday. Activities nearby: - visit the beautiful Alsatian villages (including Obernai, Riquewihr, Eguisheim, Kaysersberg, Ribeauvillé, Hunawihr, ...); - visit of Strasbourg and Colmar; - discovery of the Alsace Wine Route.
We are my wife and myself young retirees taking a real pleasure to receive our guests in this cottage. We are usually available to advise you in your visits to our beautiful region of Alsace. Passionate about Alsace, I have prepared a tour guide to help you choose according to your preferences your visits to our beautiful region or test our gastronomy. I realized myself the construction of this cottage in Alsace without the intervention of any company. It is a project that lasted 5 years but which allowed me to realize personalized accommodation by many details that would not have been possible by a builder. You will discover more about it during your stay. My wife Dominique is passionate about flowers, which explains the immediate environment of Gite en Alsace.
Quiet residential area on the edge of the village of MUTZIG. Behind the cottage is our orchard of 900m ² and other orchards in which you can walk. The center of the village is about 1,5km. You will find many shops as well as doctors, dentists, pharmacies. An indoor pool is 2.5km from the cottage. From the cottage you can reach in 15 minutes walk the vineyard of Dorlisheim for a pleasant walk in the vineyards. You can go easily throughout Alsace: - by car from the cottage (we are 4 km from a motorway access to Strasbourg or to Colmar and just next to the wine route of Alsace) - TER: we are 7 minutes walk from the station MUTZIG, 22 minutes from Strasbourg TER; the TER network allows to reach Strasbourg and Colmar but also many Alsatian villages). The airport Strasbourg / Entzheim is about 15 minutes from the MUTZIG station in TER and we can come and wait for you at MUTZIG station to bring you to the lodging the day of your arrival. Near: - indoor swimming pool 2 km; - restaurants 1.5 km away - shopping centers 1.5 km
