Charming half-timbered guest house, typical and authentic, 'Hissele' is ideally nestled in the heart of Alsace, between Strasbourg and Colmar, near the wine route and must-see places. The spacious rooms are set in a renovated old dairy farm, with a country garden respectful of biodiversity. The materials used and objects purchased tell a story and have been chosen with care: low environmental impact, spirit of recovery, artistic sensitivity... without forgetting your comfort and a warm welcome in all simplicity. The visit to a winemaker and the preparation of a small meal are organized on request. The Christmas market period is magical, from the end of November to the end of December.
Alsatian by birth and heart, I like to introduce you to regional specialties at breakfasts and to recommend activities according to your interests and the season, because my region can be visited pleasantly all year round. Know that different local products and personalized services can be offered, do not hesitate to contact me. Whether you want to meet artisans/artists, visit a flea market professional, discover gardens, attend a regional party or eat in a good restaurant, you are at the right address. 'Hissele' means 'the little house' in my Alsatian dialect.
Our village is located in the beautiful region of 'Grand Ried', close to nature reserves, the greenway (cycle route from the canal of the Rhone to the Rhine) and Sélestat (city of art and history with rich cultural heritage). The activities are varied, between plain landscapes and mountains, and the exceptional cities are numerous: Obernai, Mittelbergheim, Andlau, Bergheim, Ribeauvillé, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Eguisheim... just like the emblematic sites: Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, Mont Sainte-Odile, Abbey of Ebersmunster. Our border position with Germany also allows to discover: Europa-Park (the largest amusement park in Europe), the Black Forest, Kehl, Offenburg, Lahr, Freiburg, Baden-Baden. Two swimming lakes offer the opportunity to cool off in the summer in the neighboring villages. Here are the shops in our village: bakery/pastry shop, restaurants/supermarket, butcher/caterer, pharmacy/doctors. Looking forward to welcoming you!
