La Bicyclette Bleue, is a traditional former Normandy Corps de Ferme sitting on an acre of land and set deep within the Normandy countryside. The house dates back to between 1785 and 1806 and has period features. We currently have two en-suite rooms, The Panelled room and The Retro room with views to both the flower meadow at the front and the garden at the back. Both are set up as double rooms, but can be converted to twin rooms on request. We also have a third room, The Little Loft (double) which shares a shower room with and can be booked privately in conjunction with The Retro Room (please contact us directly for more information) Apart from the Entrance hall where breakfast is served, there is an outside dining and summer kitchen area where the optional dinner is served on fine evenings or where guests can prepare their own simple meals or a BBQ. Guests have the freedom to explore the front garden with it's sitting areas, and the meadow. Apart from breakfast, which is included in the price, for an extra cost, we can also offer a four course dinner with aperitifs and coffee, a three course evening picnic or a one course evening snack as well as packed lunches. Although there are no televisions in the rooms, we have a DVD player on request and free Wifi access. We are an Anglo/French couple. We have three dogs, two cats and six chickens. Since being in the house we have developed an orchard, vegetable garden, front gardens, seating areas and meadow paths. We look forward to welcoming you to this amazing house in the beautiful Normandy countryside and sharing everything that it has to offer.

La Bicyclette Bleue is situated by the side of a quiet lane in a small hamlet of seven other houses close to the village of Montpinchon. This area of Normandy is at the base of the Contentin Peninsula in the department of Manche in Lower Normandy. It is a very rural area, a land of cheese, cream, apples and cider. We have rolling hills and valleys and abundant wildlife including birds of prey, owls, badgers, Coypu, moles, bats, and if you're lucky, wild boar and deer. We are 20 minutes from the coast, 15 minutes from the beautiful little cathedral city of Coutances, just over half an hour from St, Lo, the county town of Manche and approximately 40 minutes from the Parc Naturel Régional des Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin, which covers a huge swathe of central Manche, about 40 mins from Granville with links to the Isles de Chaussey and about an hour from the D-day beaches, Bayeux, Caen, St. Malo and Le Mont St. Michel. We have wonderful and very reasonably priced local restaurants (mostly serving at lunchtimes and weekends) churches both ancient and modern and history in abundance.
