Château de la Brosse, located in Lureuil, traces its origins to the 16th century, when it formed part of a noble feudal estate. By 1646, it was held by the Besdon family, followed later in the 17th century by the Bors family, reflecting its role as a seigneurial residence. The estate expanded in the 18th century with the addition of substantial outbuildings supporting agricultural and domestic life. The château seen today was largely rebuilt in the 19th century on earlier foundations, blending historic character with the architectural style of that period. Set within expansive grounds, it has evolved over centuries into an elegant country residence, preserving its heritage while adapting to modern uses. Our château guest rooms blend historic character with contemporary comfort. Each space has been thoughtfully renovated to highlight original features—3.5‑metre ceilings, floor‑to‑ceiling windows, exposed beams, and beautifully preserved metalwork—while offering the modern conveniences expected of a boutique stay. We offer one room, the ground floor queen room, for pet owners. The other rooms on the property are not suitable for animals.
