I am a retired entertainer, living in France since 2005, with fluent French. I was born in England but I came up from Spain, to fulfil my life's dream of retiring in this country. My house is set in two acres of park land. It is a relatively new property but has a lot of character, with a certain Spanish flavour and is set back from a little road, a cycling track, yet just a two minute drive to the D939, the main road between Angoulême and Dordogne. I have furnished my home with good quality Spanish, Indonesian and English furniture, some of which is antique. This is my preferred taste and, in my opinion, gives the house extra charm. I welcome visitors of all nationalities, from all walks of life, the majority of whom are cyclists looking for a peaceful room for the night, before setting off on their journey. There is a public swimming pool that lies along this road, where guests may visit, for a small fee. A busy little village is just a ten minute drive from the house and the city of Angoulême, which boasts its Gastronomic, Art and Vintage car events is twenty five kilometres from the house. Come and enjoy the region of Charente, at its best.

My work as an entertainer has taken me all over the world and, having retired, I have chosen to settle in rural France. My hobbies include sewing, I love music and I enjoy cooking. I am also qualified as an English and French teacher and welcome students of any age, on one week courses, as a guest in my home.

There are just four houses in this part of the road. All the neighbours are French and the atmosphere is friendly but quiet.
