Since 20 October 2022, we, Robert-Jan and Ellen, are the new proud owners of La Maison du Chevalier (adults only). Our dream house, in which we want many guests to enjoy the coming years and of course the beautiful surroundings! Don't forget to book our table d'hôtes. Ellen turns it into a tasty and festive dinner (menu du jour) every day, with regional ingredients.

The atmosphere in our B&B is relaxed, homely and welcoming. The house has been completely renovated and has 4 modern rooms with bathrooms for 10 people in total, You are most welcome! We are open all year round!

Neighborhood info

Moulin Richard de Bas, where you can see how paper used to be made and which can be perfectly combined with a lovely scenic walk. It is a true hiker's paradise here, there are dozens of marked walks. From light to heavy and short to long. Nice authentic villages and towns are Olliergues with its castle and old crafts. Ambert with its lively market on Thursday mornings with many local products. Maison de la Fourme d'Ambert and its unusual round town hall. Thiers, the knife town. Billom known for its pink garlic, Arlanc with its lace museum. La Chaise Dieu with a festival of classical music in summer. Vichy, a charming shopping town with plenty of history and thermal baths. Clermont Ferrand with its old, cosy city centre and black Volvic stone cathedral. And in winter, within half an hour you can reach Chamazel, a small family ski resort with some nice runs. The Auvergne is perfect for exploring by mountain bike. For mountain bike lovers, there are many routes of different levels. The guarantee for a dose of sensations and adventure is on a motorbike through the Auvergne . We also have about twenty routes of these. (See also the arrangements on our own site!) At 8 km from our house, in the village of Cunlhat, there is a beautiful 9-hole golf course at 700m altitude. Also for business guests! EUROAPI/SANOFI in Vertolyae is only 4 minutes away from us ! Smurfit Kappa Dore Emballage in La Chapelle-Agnon is only 2 minutes away CELTA in Courpiere is 15 minutes away from from us! We have already welcomed many guests from different parts of the world, who have used our location (EUROAPI -SANOFI -OMERIN - CELTA & SMURFIT KAPPA DORE EMBALLAGE) for short or longer periods of time. We have a room with a desk on the ground floor. (Chambre Moderne)
