After a first career in education in Ghent (Belgium), Nathalie & Herman embarked on a new adventure in 2020: a guesthouse in France, in a region that is less well known, but has no less to offer. Herman obtained a chef's diploma and serves you tasty dishes every evening (subject to reservation in advance - at the latest the day before). Nathalie makes sure that you are not short of anything else and you feel like a renaissance prince, in your room, in the garden, by the pool, in the veranda that serves as a dining room, ... In the morning we serve a luxurious breakfast buffet: a very extensive range of both sweet and salty, with freshly squeezed fruit juice, homemade jams, an egg of your choice from our own chickens, the Belgian “Cecemel” (chocolate milk), and so on. With an additional payment and reservation in advance (at the latest the day before), you can enjoy a delicious evening meal in our table d'hôtes. We propose different formulas to our guests of the rooms. If you choose to stay in our apartment, ask us beforehand about what is feasible if you are interested in a dinner on site. We hope to welcome you soon!

Property info

La Pastorale Gourmande breathes tranquillity and relaxation. It is an ideal place to enjoy peace and to be pampered gastronomically. We rent out four spacious rooms on the first floor of a building adjacent to our house. They are brand new, well equipped and have a very beautiful high ceiling with wooden beams. Each room can receive up to 3 people. The choice is yours: a double bed of 180 cm or two single beds of 90 cm. The third person can sleep in a sofa bed or extra bed. On the ground floor, we have an appartment which includes kitchen, dining room, living room and a family bedroom with a 160 cm double bed and a bunk bed. In the living room, the sofa can be transformed into a bed (140cm) for two additional people. Our 1 hectare garden with heated swimming pool (heated from May 15th to September 15th and accessible out of this period weather permitting) and 2 ponds is also at your disposal. There is a summer kitchen corner at the pool house, a ping-pong table, a fitness machine and everything to spend a marvellous, unforgettable holiday. In autumn and winter, the kitchen and the living room of the appartment are at your disposal. Welcome!

La Pastorale Gourmande is located near Hauterives, where le Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval is a special work of art, attracting thousands of visitors every year. We live right in the middle between Lyon, Valence and Grenoble. These three cities can be reached within an hour and all worth a trip! But you don't have to go that far to see beautiful things: Vienne and the Gallo-Roman museum in Saint-Romain-en-Gal are also definitely worth a visit... But there are also the picturesque village of Saint-Antoine-L'Abbaye, the Vercors Regional Natural Park, the Peaugres safari park, Lake Paladru, the wild water park of le Pilat Rhodanien, the wines of La Cave de Tain and many other places to discover in the area! Enough not to get bored for two weeks! You will find all the tourist information on site. Those who prefer to stay on site: you can also enjoy hiking, cycling, horse riding, ... Or just chill by the heated pool ;-)
