Myself and my husband came across La Petite Maison by chance, surfing the internet on a weekday evening. We came out to see it that weekend, fell in love and promptly bought it! Now, having spent the best part of 12 years making it into this wonderful holiday home, we are happy to share it with discerning guests so that they are also able to have wonderful family holidays and gatherings or just relax a while in our little part of Desertines in the Pays de la Loire, Normandy. Our children wondered at all the space they had to run around and explore and we were all able to come together in the lovely kitchen to create mouthwatering meals from the great French food on offer, eat together in the dining room and then snuggle down in front of the roaring fire in the salon. The five ensuite bedrooms give everyone plenty of space and a good night's sleep. In the morning, make a coffee using the hospitality trays in your room (who wants to get out from under a warm, snuggly duvet for a morning cuppa if they don't have to?) And, good or bad, we provide complimentary WIFI throughout :0)
I'm a mother of two young adults and wife to a really, really busy company director. La Petite Maison is my baby; I love travelling, cookery, fitness and the company of my friends. I have taken great pride in creating a lovely location for guests to come and enjoy their stay with us. I expect everyone to be respectful of the house and everything in it, in all we have provided to enable guests to have a wonderful time with family and friends, inside and out. We are very friendly and accommodating; don't hesitate to give us a ring or email us if there is anything you need to make your stay even more enjoyable.
Desertines is a great, rural area in Pays de la Loire. Having owned La Petite Maison since 2007, I am still finding places to visit and areas to explore. Sometimes I just like to come here and relax and other times, I will wander a little further afield and find the Normandy landing beaches, Brittany shores, visit the historic castles of Fougeres, wander round vide greniers, go to wine tastings, wonder at the plentiful local produce at village markets, pet animals at local farms, indulge in some retail therapy.... there's plenty to do if you want to. There's always the option to do nothing as well, it's your choice.
