Located in the department of Allier, Central France, The Vine and Thistle cordially invites you to stay for one evening, two evenings, or even a whole week. To indulge in a fine meal in good company. To explore the countryside, and see the sights of our region. Or simply to stop for a moment on the way elsewhere in this beautiful country. Breakfast is included for free each morning, and can include a variety of sweet or savoury things, depending on the availability of ingredients. Other dining options are available, including dinners, food and drink on arrival, and lunches.
For many travellers, Allier remains an undiscovered region of France. It is here you will find Vichy, the majestic spa town once frequented by Napoleon III. You will find vineyards, museums and beautiful châteaux. A whole bunch of beautiful châteaux. Really, hundreds of the things. You’ll find Moulins, the medieval capital of the Bourbons, visited by Joan of Arc. Or Le Pal, the animal park visited by millions of people each year (but unfortunately not Joan of Arc). For lovers of nature, there are vast forests, rolling hills and wild rivers. You can hike or bike, or rent a canoe.
