A small chalet for a green and peaceful stay in the Haute-Saône countryside. Set in verdant surroundings, the Montarouet chalet welcomes you for one night or several weeks. The wooden chalet is separate from the owners' house. On the ground floor (20 m²) there is a kitchenette opening onto the living/dining room and a shower room. On the mezzanine (10 m² with a maximum height of 1.80 m), you will find a small bedroom opening onto a 10 m² terrace. The property is committed to an eco-responsible approach: French furniture (bedding) or second-hand furniture, waste sorting and composting, electricity soon to be generated by solar panels, differentiated management of the exterior to encourage biodiversity, use of eco-responsible cleaning products, etc.

Montboillon, a village in the Haute-Saône region with a population of just under 300, lies on the edge of the Mont-de-Gy mountains in the heart of the Rieolais region, 22 km north of Besançon. Mainly forested, the village is also criss-crossed by 3 rivers and is home to the Vallon de Fontenelay Regional Nature Reserve, a 42-hectare site protecting a series of marl grasslands and low marshes. The reserve is one of 13 places of interest on the heritage trail created by the municipality, which also includes the church, the fountain and the wash-house. Among its illustrious inhabitants, Montboillon was home to Voltaire, who stayed there with the Marquise Emilie du Châtelet. The history of the village is highlighted in the book ‘L'histoire de Montboillon racontée un siècle après celle de M. Adolphe Helle’ written by Norbert Latruffe. The village is on the route of the Via Francigena, the pilgrimage route linking Canterbury to Rome via France and Switzerland. Montboillon is 10 km from the Besançon Franche-Comté TGV station. Nearby services include the L'Atelier des sens micro-crèche, the inclusive leisure centre L'Association SARAH and the Beauti's Institut beauty salon. A pizza van also comes to the village on Thursday evenings (at the town hall). In Etuz (4 km away), there is a grocery/newsagent/bar, a florist, a hairdresser and a restaurant.
