From June 2025, we rent out one guest room with en-suite bathroom and one complete guest apartment in our beautifully renovated farmhouse from 1800. Both rooms have a comfortable king size bed, which can be changed to two single beds on request. Outside you can use one of the terraces around the house, or the cozy veranda behind the house. We also offer a table d'hotes service. Not only can you recharge with us, your electric car has also been thought of. There are two 11kw charging points type II connection in our private parking lot. So you can drive electric carefree in this corner of the Dordogne where charging stations are still a bit scarce . Don’t forget to bring your cable.

Welcome to Le Charme du Périgord ! It gives us energy to share this beautiful place with guests who, like us, enjoy the little things in life. Stroll through the charming villages nearby, take a nice walk or bike ride or visit a cave or a castle. At the end of the afternoon, play a game of jeu de boules on our on boules court, or enjoy the silence of the French countryside and the view from the porch with a drink in a rocking chair.

Our property is located in the hamlet of Puyfranc, which is part of the municipality of Saint-Sulpice d'Excideuil. The village is located in a charming corner of the Périgord Vert, in the beautiful Dordogne department. Here you can still enjoy the original French countryside feel, with small-scale agriculture and livestock, interspersed with pieces of forest and sleepy picturesque villages. A walhalla for hikers, mountain bikers or experienced cyclists. But there are also llively towns in the area with plenty of culture and history, several caves, and countless castles. Cities such as Perigueux, Limoges and Brives are less than an hour’s drive away. The region is known for its walnuts, truffles, apples, foie gras and much more. Small-scale organic farmers sell their products at the farmshop or on local markets and so-called marchés gourmands. A less than fifteen minute walk from Le Charme du Périgord takes you to a small grocery store where you can buy daily necessities such as bread, fruit and vegetables as well as delicious locally produced cheese, beers, jams and meat. Within 15 minutes by car you are in Thiviers or Excideuil where you find a variety of supermarkets, restaurants, terraces and shops.
