Welcome to Le Chene Vert Chambres D'Hotes. We aim to make our guests feel at home with a relaxed atmosphere and a home from home stay. You can help yourself to coffee, tea or a cold drink from the guest kitchenette and enjoy the ground and first floor seating areas, the outdoor terraces and gardens or have a game of table football. Tea and coffee is also available in each room. If you require a cold beer, a glass or a bottle of wine,an aperitif or just a soft drink we have these to purchase. Evening meals 'table d'hote' are also available if you have reserved in advance. We enjoy meeting people and having a chat but we also know that sometimes a little tranquility and relaxation is appreciated after a long day. We are countryside/farming people and enjoy many country pursuits, and , and but also love to hear your motor-racing stories and enjoy your excitement too.

Le Chêne Vert chambres d’hôtes in Millac is ideally located for exploring some of the most beautiful towns, villages and attractions in the region as well as visiting friends and family in the area. Within easy driving distance, guests can discover historic riverside villages, charming market towns and family attractions. After a day outdoors, guests can return to a peaceful and comfortable setting, away from busy tourist areas, and enjoy the tranquil setting. We have a beautiful large garden, covered terrace and patio. There are 5 comfortable bedrooms all with large airy en-suite shower rooms, including a family suite and a downstairs bedroom with wetroom for our wheelchair using or reduced mobility guests. The terrace, patio and garden are wheelchair accessible.

We are located out in the countryside, so if it is peace and quiet you require after a days sightseeing, fishing, outdoor activities or motor-racing at the Circuit du Val de Vienne, you can find it here. There are plenty of lovely villages and small towns to visit in the this beautiful area of France along with museums, the Circuit du Val de Vienne and various other attractions. Markets are held regularly in the area and the grand towns of Poitiers and Limoges are just a 50 minute drive with their many shops and pedestrian areas. Other places within an hours drive include St. Germain de Confolens with its lovely ruined chateau overlooking the river Vienne, the main town of Confolens with a beautiful old bridge over the river, Montmorillon, known as the 'City of Writing', 'Terre des Dragons' at Civaux, La Vallée Des Singes at Romagne, and Futuroscope and Aquascope at Poitiers. If outdoor sports and activities are your thing, there is fishing on the river Vienne, and also fishing on many local lakes for carp, black bass and tench, some of which are free, although you will require a fishing licence which we can arrange. There is horseriding nearby, and Parc de L'Envol has aerial assault courses, a zipline over the river Vienne and electric bike and scooter hire. There are also many signposted walks in the immediate area. Canoeing and watersports are available throughout the summer at L'Isle Jourdain and Moussac. In Confolens in August there is a big music festival, with many events and attractions, and in summer every Friday evening there is a concert at Queaux, and also events at the outdoor theatre at Le Vigeant next to the river Vienne.
