Originally from Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England, we moved to France in September 2015 moving into our B & B in October 2015. We love the countryside here and the history of the area. When the weather and time permits, we enjoy time on the local beaches with the dog or going out on the motorbike.

Normandy is a rich gastronomic area with its fresh fish ("when Dover soles cross the Channel, they arrive in Dieppe"), shellfish, duck, cream and, the world-famous Calvados along with cheeses like Camembert, Livarot, and Pont l'Evêque. For the golf enthusiasts, Golf Centre Manche offers a 9 hole course 5720m with a par 70, the Club offers; club hire, restaurant, bar, golf shop, buggy, motor trolley hire and only 15 minutes drive from Le Grand Camelia Guest House. You can enjoy a day out on the mini-train rides, go carting, horse riding, and sight seeing or cycling in the countryside. Or you can explore the Normandy beaches with miles of coastline, Bayeaux with famous tapestries, Villeudieu-Les-Poeles with its famous copper factories and zoo, Granville, Caen for shopping and its Festyland Fun Park. Honfleur with its picturesque harbour has long been a favourite haunt of artists and tourists alike. Drive over the enormous Pont de Normandie to reach Le Havre and Ste Adresse – with its sandy beach and watersports. Caen is a good base to explore the D-Day Landing Beaches. Fashionable resorts include Deauville and Trouville.
