Panoramadesalpilles is a large, comfortable, air-conditioned family home with 5 bedrooms and a mezzanine: it can accommodate up to 12 people. From a large terrace with a superb view of the Alpilles mountains, you have access to a heated swimming pool (May to October), which can be fenced off for young children. The garden is landscaped, with a playground for all, a vegetable garden and a small henhouse with 5 chickens: you'll have fresh eggs every day!

Who we are: We've lived in the village, in a house next door to the gite, since 2004 and we have 2 grown-up boys. Sandie is a school teacher in Mouriès, I'm an engineer by training and after 18 years in the aeronautics industry, I've branched out in 2019. Today, my job is to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible and I can also guide you in the Alpilles or help you taste our home-brewed beer "La Détendue". In 2017, we started by renovating this 80s house to make it a friendly and comfortable place in our family village of Aureille in the Alpilles. We quickly got involved in trying to develop an environmental component to our project, and this investment became clearer as we learned more about energy, water, waste management, biodiversity and soft mobility. I'm also the coordinator of the climate fresco, which raises awareness of climate change, and we're members of the 1% for the planet scheme: we donate 1% of our gite sales to environmental associations. We are also partners of the Parc Naturel des Alpilles and very involved in the local economy. Today, in addition to enjoying a fabulous stay in Provence, we invite you to discover "the laboratory of ecological solutions": a way of introducing you to new practices and solutions that we find interesting for a more sustainable world.

From the house, it's a short walk to the village center of Aureille and its shops: a superb grocery store (with local fruits, vegetables and cheeses), a bakery that makes decadent pains au chocolats, a renowned butcher's shop and a pleasant bar where you can eat well at lunchtime. The setting is remarkable, with a direct view of the Alpilles massif, its summit, Les Opies, and the chateau in the village of Aureille. Numerous walks, bike rides and horse rides are available from the gite. Sports enthusiasts will also find plenty to do (trail running, road biking, mountain biking, climbing), and we'll be happy to advise you on our favorite routes! Nearby, you can discover Arles, Avignon, the Luberon, kayak down the Sorgues river or reach the superb coves of the Côte Bleu.
