Le Papillon Bleu is a charming rustic stone house from 1657 with a private garden located in a peaceful hamlet boosting beautiful surroundings. The interior was chosen with great attention to detail and visitors are invited to relax and enjoy nature in our cozy, inspiring house and garden. Take in the atmosphere of the house by listening to albums on our record player, soaking in the clawfoot bathtub and lounging in the daybed on the balcony. The garden is a joy to explore and features a small amphitheater, as well as an old stone well reminiscent of a fairy tale. Wild vines decorate the blue wooden door which invites you to enter our home, Le Papillon Bleu.
We are a Dutch (Arno) and American (Anne) couple who live and work internationally. We currently reside in Vientiane, Lao PDR with our two dogs. You will notice that many of the furnishings and decorations at Le Papillon Bleu are originally from Asia and we have added personal touches with treasures found from around the world. We hope our home is an oasis for visitors who wish to enjoy the tranquil environment in a house adorned with aesthetically pleasing details.
Le Papillon Bleu is located in the southern Corrèze department, right on the border with the Lot department in a small hamlet (Guilles). The closest village, Beaulieu-Sur-Dordogne is an 8 minute drive from Le Papillon Bleu. Beaulieu-Sur-Dordogne is an idyllic medieval village, with a climatically favorable location in the valley, between forest and meadows on the banks of the river Dordogne. The property is approx. 2000 square meters in size and offers an abundance of flowers and fruit trees in its naturally wild garden.
