A hidden gem with a story. And a swimming pool. That’s Le Petit Moras, our centuries-old farmhouse, situated in a secluded spot and nestled amongst the greenery. The view of the valley and the Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d’Ardèche is enchanting. There’s plenty of space and peace and quiet. You can hear the birds and… nothing else. You’ll be staying in the former silkworm farm, which has been converted into a comfortable gîte and chambre d’hôtes. Both properties have been modernised whilst retaining their original features. The décor is charming, featuring plenty of vintage finds. Enjoy breakfast in the morning sun, take a dip in the swimming pool or relax in the shade with a book. Fancy getting out and about? Le Petit Moras is truly a destination for lovers of the great outdoors. There are endless beautiful walks to be had in the immediate vicinity. Do you enjoy cycling? There’s plenty of that here too. Just a few hundred metres away, for example, runs the Voie Douce de la Payre, a car-free cycle path over 21 kilometres long through the green valley of the little river La Payre. This route also provides quick and easy access to and from the famous ViaRhôna long-distance cycle route. There are also plenty of picturesque villages in the area. Chomérac is less than 3 km away. The village exudes that typical Ardèche atmosphere. You’ll find a beautiful church, bakeries, restaurants and bars. On the village square, lined with plane trees, people play plenty of pétanque. There are even more picturesque villages in the area to explore, weekly markets to visit and then settle down on a terrace. However you choose to spend your stay at Le Petit Moras, you’ll enjoy the peace, the quiet and the lovely atmosphere. It’s all about relaxing and enjoying yourself – the place, the surroundings and, above all, each other’s company.
