350 year old traditional farmhouse in quiet gardens, large historical barn with art studio,motorbike garage, workshops and games area for summer 2017, ( darts, small pool table, indoor ten pin bowls).Studio/art sessions are available on request for guests (fees apply). Private parking.Gardens, BBQ area and fire pit. Plenty of garden furniture with parasols. Bedrooms are pretty and set in the eaves of the house, with hairdryer, towels and basic toiletries. The 2 double rooms share a large adjoining bathroom with shower. The family room is en suite with plenty of room and storage, again with high oak beams and lots of character. Cot and highchair available. Large family dining room seating for16. Guests sitting room with books,pencils, toys, board games and wifi. Excellent food in addition to breakfast. Prices on request. We cater for all, vegan and vegetarian also. Groups are welcome, up to 12 people, if more space is required there are large secluded gardens for camping, details and fees on request, additional shower is available. Tony is a biker and knows what is important, hard standing, garage with basic tools and drying areas. N79, N7, N71 all within 15/20 minutes.
Tony and Donna have had many motoring holidays with their family and friends over the years, with a car, bike and caravan. Originally from the uk have now settled in rural France. Tony was an accomplished restauranteur/bar owner who prides himself on cooking amazing food from all over the world using fresh local ingredients. As a keen 'biker' he understands what other bikers need on their travels, secure storage or drying facilities. He has ridden his bike across Africa to Timbuktu and hiked across machu pichu. Donna has an artists studio in the barn.The creative nature is reflected throughout the house from paintings and an eye for the unusual. The house has been turned into an eclectic family home with space for guests. Many evenings have been spent telling stories around the fire pit, drinking a glass of wine or beer ( Tony was a drama teacher.) We pride our selves in our high standards of service, probably from years in the pub/restaurant industry. If there is anything that we can help with or cater for then we will do our best to do so. We are happy for families with children of all ages and allow pets in certain rooms.
