Le Pre Vert is surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of the Livradois Forez National Park with its wide open spaces, charming meadows and spectacular views . You’ll love the traditional charm and ambiance afforded by the house and garden. Our Garden Annexe has been created from what was once the wood store and offers completely independent ground floor accommodation in three rooms. The space is perfect for couples or singles and we welcome pets. Your accommodation comprises three separate rooms: a bedsitting room, kitchenette and shower room. The spacious bedroom has immediate access to the garden via your exclusive terrasse where you can relax with a drink, eat breakfast or watch the birds and butterflies that frequent the garden. If it gets too hot (that does happen!) you have freedom to explore other shadier parts of the garden, whilst in cooler months there is a small wood stove to give a cosy ambiance in the evenings.

We are a British couple, retired teachers, who have been in this area for over 20 years. Le Pre Vert was originally our holiday home and gite but we live here permanently. We love the outdoors and never tire of the wonderful landscapes that this region has to offer. We enjoy walking in the area in summer or winter; there is much to explore and it is never busy.

Directly from the house it is possible to walk through woods, forests or open meadows either following way marked routes or devising your own itinerary. The Col du Beal offers spectacular views across to the Puy de Dome and can be reached by road (15 mins) or footpaths. At the summit there is a range of colour coded walking routes or VTT trails. It is the perfect place to capture the sunset at any time of year.
