We are a very popular bar serving pub food for lunch and dinner just a 2 minute walk from the village square. Here you can have the best of both worlds, a peaceful garden and stylish bar serving great food, and near to the village too.. The bar has a wonderful home from home feel with the open fireplace and wood decor. The large garden with picnic benches and charming features offers a peaceful setting for a lazy lunch, or a cool beer on a sunny evening, with more tables with parasols providing a spot of shade. We do not offer breakfast. Additional luxury accommodation now available at our sister accommodation Chateau de Minargent.
At the heart of the department of Charente-Maritime, hides the charming little town of Aulnay. About twenty kilometers from Saint Jean dAngely, and forty kilometers from Niort and Cognac, the town is rich in natural heritage. The town today still has important historical and architectural remains. Aulnay is full of life, despite its modest size. Aulnay seduces with its tranquil atmosphere and its many amenities. There are 3 other bars, boulangeries, banks, post office and supermarket, to name a few. Aulnay hosts a twice weekly market in the square on a Thursday and Sunday morning until the early afternoon, the Sunday market being larger and busier.
